Booths of Ditton Junckers Merbau Strip Floor Restoration

In June 2013 we were contracted to restore a quite large scale project at the car showrooms of 'Booths of Ditton' which is a large Peugeot Dealership situated in Widnes.

The Junckers Ships decking Merbau hardwood flooring [oiled finish] had been installed at considerable cost some years before, and was quite literally looking 'black' in colouration, this was due to dust and dirt ingraining into the timber, and also not using correct cleaning methods.

To minimise downtime for our clients, we carried out this restoration over the course of 3 nights, arriving just before the showroom was closing, and working until the area being sanded was completed.

Our clients wanted easier maintenance of their Junckers Merbau flooring, which covered just over 100m2 of the showroom floor, we recommended a commercial 4 coat lacquer system, using a primer coat and then a 3 further coats of the rather splendid Bona Traffic HD, which would make sure the wood surface is fully protected with a high quality, long lasting, durable finish.

As you can see from the pictures below, the difference in the 'before and after' pictures is quite startling, and you would have to say the finished Junckers Merbau Ships Decking Flooring looks magnificent, our clients certainly thought so...

The above picture rotator shows some of the pictures we took during the floor sanding and re-finishing process at the Booths of Ditton car showroom, the pictures automatically rotate every 6 seconds, each picture has a brief description at the top of the picture...you can pause the pictures simply by moving the mouse cursor anywhere within the picture...You can then scroll forwards or backwards through the pictures at your leisure.
